ACS has many great services for Soldiers, spouses and children, yet not everyone knows we are located in five different areas. Stop by today and visit the staff on Stewart in buildings 81, 82, 86, 87 and the SFAC building 4973. The Hunter staff is located in building 1286. You’ll be glad you did. Let’s push ACS programs in 2018.

Amazing Race Teams:

Army Community Service (ACS) will be the host of the very first Installation wide, "Amazing Race" tomorrow, This interactive/fun event is designed for the entire Family and will link individuals or teams to agencies that support deployment and Army Life.  Registration now Open by calling (912) 767-1257  or register on the ACS Eventbrite page at  Teams can start arriving 9:30 a.m. Jan 19, this challenge will be set up to have individuals/teams navigate to multiple locations across the Installation to improve Family Readiness and Resilience.


Baby boot camp for dads

According to a recent survey, 86 percent of dads spend more time with their children today than their own fathers did with them. However, 7 out of 10 also reported that they could use tips on how to be a better parent. The smallest moments can have the biggest impact on a child’s life. Take time to be a dad today. Marketing Volunteer needed

Do you enjoy marketing and are you creative?  Do you have a design eye that could resonate to flyers to inform the public?  Would you like to help Army Community Service build new followers on different social media platforms like Instagram, Pinterest and others to better reach Soldiers, Spouses and Army Families?  If you answered yes to any of these questions then ACS needs You. You must have your own computer and be willing to submit these items in a timely manner for approval. Registration in the Volunteer Management Information System and tracking of volunteer hours is a requirement.  Call 912 767-1597 for more details. 


Limited Access to building 87 

Access to ACS Building #87 and the Public Access Computer lab will be limited until Jan. 25.Staff is supporting the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team  deployment briefs and fairs.  Please go to ACS Building #86 for assistance.  For questions, please contact 912 767- 5058.


Foreign Born/Hearts Apart support offered

You asked for it, now you got it!  ACS on Hunter Army Airfield will host a Foreign Born Spouse/Hearts Apart support group; which started this month.  This group is for spouses who are awaiting the return of their love ones who are deployed or are on an unaccompanied tour. The meeting will be held on the second Thursday of each month at Hunter Army Airfield. Jan. 11 is our first meeting, 10 a.m. to noon, at building 1286. Please join us for this exciting experience!! Our events provides an opportunity for a cultural blended experience to interact with others and build friendships that will last a life time.  Children are also welcome to attend. Hearts Apart Corks and Canvas Event 

Enjoy a fun evening out at our Hearts Apart Corks and Canvas paint party (with instructor) from 6-10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14 at Club Stewart's Palmetto Room. Club will provide a tapas style buffet, one bottle of wine per guest and a Sommelier expert guest speaker to kick off the event. A letters from home station also will be available.
