DHR holds All-Hands-Update

Directorate of Human Resources employees attended the second quarter DHR All-Hands-Update for fiscal year 2018, which included employee recognition for significant accomplishments and the employee of the quarter ceremony. 

The event was held at the Sgt. 1st Class Paul R. Smith Education Center auditorium, April 19.  The event serves as a platform to share upcoming events, provide information on key topics of interest, and boost the morale of directorate employees. 

The DHR director, Thomas Allmon, recognized new and departing employees, and announced nominees and the final winner for the employee of the quarter.   

The only new employee recognized this month was Brian Tiner, who joined the Military Personnel Division.  

 Departing DHR employees were James Sharp of the Army Continuing Education System and Nicholas Bess at MPD.  

Don Sell, MPD, received a certificate honoring his 25 years of civilian service and Shameka Howard received a certificate honoring her 20 years of civilian service.

Personnel nominated for the DHR EOQ represented ACES, the Army Substance Abuse Program and MPD.  

Nominees included Olga Garrett from ASAP; Lucinda Johnson-Wallace, from ASAP; William Rodriguez from ACES, and Eunice Rothwell from MPD. 

Lucinda Johnson-Wallace was recognized as employee of the quarter.   She received her nomination due to her commitment to her role as a dedicated ASAP specialist.  

David Curran, the narrator said one example of her commitment to reaching a diverse audience, was her suggestion and assistance in the creating  English and Spanish versions of an ASAP Alcohol Awareness promotional video broadcast for the Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield Facebook Town Hall.  

The winner also received a $250 cash award along with a certificate and a 24-hour time off award.  The next DHR  All-Hands-Update is scheduled for July 19.
