The 10th Engineer Battalion, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team held a pre-sapper train-up session, July 18-21 at Camp Casey-Hovey, Korea, to help certify Soldiers for Sapper school

The six-day training event started with physical training and included medical care, sapper knots and mountaineering. During the first two days Soldiers participated in a 12-mile ruck-march and performed ranger tactical tasks, and conducted water survival training.

On the third day physical training using boats, rappelling, and land navigation was the challenge. Day four included a confidence course, an introduction to patrolling, practical exercises and base operations.

Evaluating the training and getting after-action feedback concluded the week; along with a rescue scenario that included much of the training provided.
