DHR holds all-hands-update, recognizes excellence

Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield Directorate of Human Resources employees attended the DHR All-Hands Update for the third quarter of fiscal Year 2018, July 19, at the Sgt. 1st Class Paul R. Smith Education Center. 

The event serves a platform to share key topics of interest, boost morale, recognize significant accomplishments and name the DHR employee of the quarter. 

The DHR director, Thomas Allmon, recognized new and departing employees, and announced nominees and the final winner for the EOQ.  Reginald Robinson was welcomed as the sole new employee.  Departing DHR employees included Christopher Fletcher, Charleen Seabrook, Marimer Castelow, Dan Davis, Dewitt Haney Jr., Timothy Daugherty, and Mischelle Magmanlac.  

Andrea Everett received a Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of the Army records management officer for her outstanding contributions to the U.S. Army Records and Information Management Program.  

Recognizing civilians for significant years of service, Kevin Rouse was honored for more than 30 years and LaTonya Maxwell for more than 20 years. For serving more than 15 years, Temeka Franklin and Brian Tiner also received length of service awards. 

Personnel nominated for the DHR Employee of the Quarter included Shameka Howard, Mark Swindal, Andrea Everett, Terry Taylor and Monica Johnson.  

Terry Taylor received recognition as the employee of the quarter due to his commitment to making the Mower Soldier Readiness Processing and Mobilization Force Generation Installation concept a reality.  Taylor ensured that Mower is up to appropriate readiness standards.  He is described during the ceremony as the epitome of professionalism.  His colleagues stated customer service is his middle name.

  The winner of the DHR EOQ receives a $250 cash award along with a certificate and a 24-hour time off award.  The next DHR EOQ is scheduled for Oct. 19.
