New dental clinic officially opens at Fort Stewart

Fort Stewart Family Members and local retirees now have a new reason to smile; the Stewart Army and Air Force Exchange Service is also smiling as it celebrates the grand opening of Stewart's first ever on-post dental clinic, May 16. The Coast Dental Clinic and Orthodontics is open for business and is already serving its first customers in the Exchange Furniture Store Mall, building 419, 112 Vilseck Road.

Local car club donates to wounded warrior via SFAC

The Soldier and Family Assistance Center was visited by "Ole Skool Cruizers Car Club of Savannah" April 22, not to just show of their cars, but to deliver $500 of funds the club earned by competing in car shows around the region, according to Charles Black, president of the club.

Commissary raises dollars for cancer

Fort Stewart commissary employees raised the bar Oct. 22 as each associate – baggers, cashiers, supervisors, stockers and contractors – donned "United in Pink" T-shirts and tagged themselves "Unstoppable Team Stewart" to support, not only breast cancer awareness, but to support a Family Member of a 30-year Defense Commissary Agency employee as well.

NAF, Union sign Collective Bargaining Agreement

After more than six months of back-and-forth negotiations, the directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation and American Federation of Government Employees, known as "the Union," have signed a comprehensive Collective Bargaining Agreement, Dec. 11, that will serve Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield nonappropriated fund employees for the next three years.
