James Ervin, chief of ASD, said enabling readiness is the foundation for everything we do. We are operating in a resource constrained environment and this demands that we have clear priorities.

“Ms. Everett and the ASD Team have done a magnificent job of that,” Ervin said.  “We had to divest or reshape our non-essential tasks and redirect those resources to meet mission essential requirements. We had to prioritize our service delivery toward those services that support readiness while solidifying our partnerships across the installation.”

Ervin said Everett provided opportunities to identify best practices in records management by demonstrating the right mix of positivity, and ability to tap into other’ strengths and thinking outside of the box.

Everett developed standard operating procedures and conducted meetings to assist customers during the transition. She was directly responsible for facilitating the reorganization of the RHA, recognized by DPW Environmental Sustainability Management System for the turn-in of 18.4 tons of records for destruction to the Recycling Program.

During fiscal year 2017-18, more than 2,333 boxes containing records in the Records Holding Area were destroyed after reaching their disposition date, another 238 boxes were shipped to the Federal Record Center.

“Ms. Everett implemented a vision for our team,” Ervin said.  “Her dedication and motivation not only has been noticed but is also used as a shining example for others within the ASD.”
