Spartan Soldiers train for Best Ranger competition

Staff Sgt. Dane Wilson, an infantryman assigned to Co. C, 2nd Combined Arms Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division tugs a poncho raft containing two rucksacks while his teammate pulls with an improvised sling Feb. 22, at Fort Stewart. Wilson and 1st Lt. James Kinsey, of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2-69 Armor are training to compete in the U.S. Army Best Ranger Competition at Fort Benning, April 13-15. BRC is an event where Ranger qualified, two-man teams compete in numerous physical and tactical lanes to earn the title of Best Ranger.
