Let’s say farewell to Col., Mrs. Hedrick
"Bumping Into Awesome" farewell luncheon for our Garrison Commander Col. and Mrs. Townley Hedrick will be 11:30 a.m. June 2 at Club Stewart. Gold Star Wives meet slated

All surviving Family Members residing within the Fort Stewart Survivor Outreach Services area are invited to a Gold Star Wives chapter information session and dinner, 6 to 8 p.m. May 19, at Club Stewart. Use Garrison Super Saver Program
Are you interested in winning $500? If so this program is for you! Take a look around. Is there something you see that is wasting money? Is it a problem we can solve locally? If you are a Garrison Civilian employee and submit the best idea for saving the Garrison money, you will win $500. Submit your idea on the Super Saver Nomination Form available on the Team Stewart web page under Garrison, Resource Management Office (bottom of page is Nomination Form). Nominations are boarded with the Garrison of the Quarter Award submissions. Submit your idea to usarmy.stewart.usag.list.dhr-workforce@mail.mil for board review.

Army Outpost Foodtruck on move
The Culinary OutPost is a Soldier-run, Soldier-focused food truck that is making its way around Fort Stewart. We are open in multiple locations from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  We accept both SIK meals cards and cash at a cost of only $3.45 for breakfast and $5.55 for lunch. Join Sgt. Audie Murphy Club
The 3rd Infantry Sgt. Audie Murphy Club  -  Rock of the Marne, has its monthly meeting noon, every third  Wednesday of each month at, building 1, in the Paul R. Smith Conference Room.  All current SAMC, SGT Morales members or NCOs interested in becoming a member, are encouraged to attend.  Meetings are held to discuss past, present, and upcoming functions. It also provides a forum for members to discuss current state of the club and ideas to help improve the organization. The 3ID SAMC also host weekly study halls 3 p.m. Wednesday at building 159, Division Retention! Beware of fake USAA emails
Currently malicious actors are conducting a new phishing campaign using fake USAA emails regarding user information. The emails contain a PDF file that once opened it will load MALWARE on your system and allow the attacker access to your system and the network (at work or at home). If you receive any email, phone call, or website claiming to be USAA you can send the information to USAA at abuse@usaa.com. As it goes with any suspicious email, do not open it or any attachments. Report it to your local information security officer. This threat is at work and home, so make sure your computers are patched with the latest updates and be wary of anything that does not appear legitimate.

416th to hold 2017 reunion
Members of the 416th Tran. Co. will hold their 2017 reunion on June 24, at La'Dells Special Event Center at 8890 Abercorn St., in Savannah to reminisce, eat and reconnect with one another. Shooting facilities open to public
Now, public skeet/trap, archery, small arms range and paintball enthusiasts can enjoy their favorite shooting sports in addition to other recreational facilities now available to them at Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield. Vehicle access passes are not necessary for any of Fort Stewart’s shooting sports facilities, as all are located just outside the gates/access control points. Passes are needed for use of Taylors Creek Golf Course, Marne Bowling Center and Club Stewart. Vehicle access passes are needed for those who wish to use the Hunter Skeet/Trap Range or Hunter Golf Course, which are located within the gates. (Complete information on how to obtain a gate pass is available at stewart.army.mil. Go to Emergency Services under the Garrison drop-down menu for full details. Application for daily and special passes can be completed online.) AAFES barbers now take appointments
Exchange barber shops are now taking appointments at the following Stewart-Hunter locations: Hunter Main Mall Barber Shop at 912-692-0101 - Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Furniture Store Mall Barber Shop, building 419 at 912-876-4080 – Monday-Friday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday closed; Stewart Main Exchange Mall Barber Shop, building 71 at 912-876-0934 - Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday-Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Barber Shop across from Popeye’s, building 706 at 912-876-0325, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

PT extended to 8 a.m., drive carefully
Motorist are advised to be extra careful and don’t exceed 10 miles per hour when passing troop's. With physical fitness hours now extended to 8 a.m. and most of our Civilian workforce reporting by 7:30 a.m., we need to be extremely cautious when approaching or passing Soldiers during physical training hours. Stewart-Hunter mail distribution center hours announced
The Fort Stewart Official Mail Distribution Center, building 418-B is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for customer service, and closed for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mail Orderly training and testing will be given every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mail clerk training will be given every first Thursday of each month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mail clerk testing will be given the last Wednesday of each month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Hunter Army Airfield OMDC, building 1212 is open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for customer service and closed for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mail orderly training and testing will be given on the first and second Wednesday of each month from 1 to 3 p.m. Mail Clerk testing will be given on the last Wednesday of each month from 1 to 3 p.m. All supporting documents for testing should be cleared by your servicing OMDC one week prior to testing. Beware unauthorized urgent care facilities
Beneficiaries should be advised to not utilize urgent care facilities that require you to pay up front, and Do Not accept any health insurance. Most facilities have this information posted, as well as having staff advise you to pay all charges out of pocket. Their office staff will also encourage you to fill out documents, or claims forms for you to file with your insurance company later for reimbursement. Beneficiaries that utilize these facilities should expect to be responsible for total charges paid out-of-pocket for all services rendered. Charges may NOT be reimbursable by TRICARE, even with a referral. A few of these facilities have been identified as Urgent Care 24/7, Ready Care, and Primary Care 24/7.Please note, there may be several others. Contact TRICARE for guidance, and a list of urgent care facilities that you would be authorized to use within your Area. TRICARE will also inform you if there are any medical treatment facility restrictions in your area. Remember you should always follow up with your Primary Care Physician after any Urgent Care or emergency room visit. Don’t download new CAC scam
Currently there is an application available for download from Google Play called CAC Scan. It can scan and decipher the bar code from the front of your Military CAC. Doing this reveals the ID card holder's ID type, social security number, EDIPI number, first name, last name, middle initial, and rank. It is currently unknown what the App does with this data and is considered to be a risk to an individual's identity. Do not download this application! The Google Play Store has had illegitimate Apps available and is still widely used to spread Android specific malware. Be vigilant on any download or program installations on all of your devices and seek only reputable developers and sources. Keep your ID card with you at all times and secured in a safe location when you are not using it.

Hop on the MWR tour bus the last Thursday of every month and get the windshield tour. The tour starts 10:15 a.m. at Club Stewart. Call 912-767-3695 to register; space is limited.

Stewart dining announces meal schedule
Thunder Café (building 3003, 1600 W. 6th Street), Marne Bistro (building 726, 1902 William H. Wilson Ave), and Spartan (building 8439, Vanguard Road) DFACs will be open for weekday breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals, Monday - Friday. Weekend/holiday hours begin with the supper meal on Friday. Sign up for Stewart fire warden classes
The Fort Stewart Fire Warden class is held the second Thursday of every month. The class is held in building 1851 and begins at 9 a.m. There is no need to sign up; however, attendees are asked to bring a unit appointment letter stating they are the assigned fire warden for their unit/location with building number identified. For more information please call 912-767-7006.

Hunter offers fire warden classes
The Hunter Fire Warden class is held the first Thursday of every month. The class is held in building 1128 and begins at 9 a.m. There is no need to sign up but all attendees are asked to bring a unit appointment letter stating they are the assigned fire warden for their unit/location with building number identified. Chapel offers single Soldier Bible studies
The Hunter Chapel Navigators Bible Study is open to all military personnel. They meet in the Hunter Chapel Fellowship Hall, building 145 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday.
