Students from South East Bulloch High School visited Winn Army Community Hospital for a tour in hopes of getting insight on how a working hospital operates on a day-to-day basis May 17. Staff Sgt. Joshua Nash, a combat medic at Winn, demonstrated various techniques in administering care to a simulation mannequin in distress.  Healthcare Science Instructor, Sharon Pye, said the tour was extraordinary. “The students and I learned so much in each department: ER, PT/OT, L&D, and the OR. All of the Officers and staff … as well as our guides, were very informative and enthusiastic,” Pye said. “Everyone stressed the importance of teamwork; not only was it voiced, it showed!! We also learned a lot about the benefits of pursuing a healthcare career in the military.” At the end of the day Pye asked if S.E. Bulloch would be able to bring new HOSA students next year.
